What Is the DiveAssure StartDive Plan?
StartDive is a complementary basic insurance package offered to entry-level students of scuba and freediving. In cooperation with leading training agencies, DiveAssure’s StartDive provides essential coverage to ensure peace of mind during beginner courses.
Where Can I Read the Description of Coverage? What Is Included / Excluded?
Like any insurance policy. It’s important to carefully review the terms and conditions of your policy (description of coverage) to understand what is and isn’t covered.
What Sets DiveAssure Apart From Other Insurance Providers?
We specialize exclusively in diving, our team understands the needs and concerns of divers and freedivers alike – because we are divers ourselves. We offer our members personalized customer service, great rates, added non insurance benefits and comprehensive coverage options to protect divers worldwide.
Is StartDive Provided Free of Charge?
Yes, StartDive is 100% complementary. Once the entry level training is completed, and the diver is certified – the StartDive membership will expire and the member will be invited to renew to full comprehensive coverage – also available throughout training.
Who Is Eligible for StartDive?
The StartDive plan is available to entry-level students of specific training agencies (who work in cooperation with DiveAssure). If you are running an operation and want to know more about coverage for your students, feel free to contact our customer care for additional information and availability.
Can I Upgrade StartDive to Full Protection?
We highly recommend upgrading to a full comprehensive plan. To review or modify your coverage details, login to the member portal where you can see the various options available. You can also upgrade your membership, add family members or renew an existing/expired membership.
How Can I Automatically Enroll My Students If I’m a Pro Affiliated With SSI or SDI?
If you’re an SSI or SDI instructor, you can use our integrated API to automatically enroll your students. This streamlines the process, saving you time and ensuring your students are promptly covered. Contact our team for support.

What is DiveAssure’s Automatic Student Enrollment with SSI and SDI?
DiveAssure has partnered with SSI (Scuba Schools International) and SDI (Scuba Diving International) to offer automatic student enrollment into our insurance program. This integration allows for a seamless enrollment process if you’re training under an SSI or SDI instructor.
I’m Training With an Instructor From a Different Agency. Can I Still Get Insurance Coverage?
Yes! Even if you’re training with an instructor from another agency, you can still be enrolled in DiveAssure’s insurance program. Your instructor can manually enroll you, which is a quick, easy, and free process.
Is There a Difference in Coverage Between Automatic And Manual Enrollment?
No, the insurance coverage you receive is the same regardless of whether you’re enrolled automatically or manually. We ensure all our members have access to comprehensive coverage.
Do I Need to Pay Any Fees For Enrollment?
There are no additional fees for enrollment—whether automatic or manual. The cost of insurance coverage remains the same. You will only pay if you choose to upgrade to a more comprehensive coverage.
